Bekhand | بخند : A Persian Improvised Comedy Show!
About this Event
WHAT IS Bekhand | بخند?
“Bekhand” means laugh in Farsi. On March 15th, a group of Iranian comedians are coming together to put on an unforgettable night of improv in celebration of Norooz and the Persian community. This show is for our Iranian Vancouverites, and all other Vancouverites who also love kabob, are interested in the Iranian culture, and in laughing loudly. Lots have been happening over the past few months and we would like to honour the difficult with a few moments of lightness. All proceeds from the show will go towards the UBC Iranian Student Memorial Award. Link to the award below.
Note: If cost is a barrier but you still want to come, please email us at email@example.com
UBC IRANIAN STUDENT MEMORIAL AWARD:

WHAT IS IMPROV?
Improv is when a group of comedians create scenes based on suggestions from the audience. It’s fun, unexpected and completely on the spot!
WHO IS THIS FOR AGAIN?
This show is for our Irani hasti. But it’s also for our friends, those with connections to Iran and people who *love* kabob. Really, this show is for everyone and anyone with an interest in Persian culture and laughing out loud.
IMAGINE…after a long day of haft-seen shopping, you take noon paneer and a hot chaiee break.. then you head over to the Dance Centre to laugh, celebrate, and revel in the Persian culture with your azizams. Would you want to miss out on that? Na bābā!
